WELCOME TO
AUBREY COUNSELING
Congratulations on making a decision to focus on your wellness! You have just begun to the path to making positive change. At Aubrey Counseling, our counselors use effective psychotherapy methods to work with you in order to provide an opportunity to gain self-understanding and encouragement to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: it is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from client and counselor. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.

“Though the hill is high, I still desire to walk up it. I don’t care how difficult it is, because I understand that it leads to the way of life.”
John Bunyan
MEET OUR COUNSELORS
Amy Glover, MS, LPC Intern
supervised by
Sharon Beam, M. Ed., LPC-S

In 2011, after being a stay at home mom for eight years, I was led to resume my education and I knew it had to be within the world of mental health. I received my bachelor’s in psychology from Dallas Baptist University in 2013 and continued my education at Mid-America Christian University, receiving my master’s degree in licensed professional counseling in 2016, which included a practicum tenure at The Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County. I have received training in Natural Lifemanship, an equine assisted approach to therapy, as well as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
I absolutely love being a wife, mother, and homeschool teacher to my three children, as well as serving at The Village Church, where I am a covenant member.
Through my own life experiences, I have discovered my greatest joy is to walk alongside people through difficult life passages using approaches that work best for the individual. I believe each person brings unique experiences, perspectives, & value to relationships & deserves an equally unique therapeutic approach.
